Environmentally Friendly

We have worked very closely with the Environment Agency in bringing this project to fruition. As you can imagine 165,000 yellow ducks is a lot of plastic; in fact it's ...tons. The Great British Duck Race is dedicated to the environment and we will be making sure that every duck is taken out of the river and doesn't cause a hazard to the wildlife or river environment. We are also working with several companies to try and ensure that everything used in this race and World Record attempt is fully recyclable.

The Environment Agency cares for the rural River Thames from the Cotswolds to the outskirts of London. We keep the river clean, healthy and safe for the millions of people who use it, from anglers and naturalists to boaters, walkers and cyclists.
